some life tips:
-go barefaced (at least) once a week. not only does it give your skin a chance to breathe if you wear foundation every day, but it gets you more comfortable with your own makeup-less face
-eat a fruit or veg with every meal. it’s pretty easy and obviously good for you
-try to be well liked. you don’t need to be popular, but try not to make anyone hate you. it makes life a lot easier when people don’t object to your presence
-do your homework, but if you feel tired and dead, go to sleep and eat something. caring for yourself always comes before academics–a failing grade is better than being miserable all the time because you’re hungry and tired and overworked
-get outside every day. if it’s raining, open the window. spending all day inside makes me lose touch with reality. spend five minutes standing on your porch listening to birds. it helps, honestly
-read a book. or if you’re a slow reader or have concentration issues, listen to a book on tape. stories make real life a little more bearable
-say yes. if someone asks you to hang out and you don’t have a concrete excuse not to, just say yes. odds are, you won’t regret it, and even if you do, you at least got out of the house
-find a hobby that isn’t online. when work and school are so digital, it’s important to have a way to unplug and connect with something you love. for me, it’s gardening. for you, it might be an instrument, knitting, or jogging
-clean out your closet. please just do it.
